Why seek counseling?

No one comes to therapy because they are happy and life is turning out like they think they want it to be. People come to therapy to feel better, to get answers, to make changes that they need to make and to find acceptance of situations that are beyond their control.

All of us have a need to understand and to be understood. This is part of being human.
Ultimately, we all have the desire, and the capacity, to find love and peace within ourselves and in our relationships. Psychotherapy can help you be in that place.

And it may do so very quickly. Some things take time, but many issues can be resolved
in just a few sessions.

Therapy may seem threatening because it probably will create change. People fear change, no matter how bad their situation may be. That is our nature; to cling to the known.
But changes happen, whether we like them or not. Therapy  increases conscious participation in those changes, the undeniable, unavoidable conditions of being alive. Therapy can help you be more deeply, intimately, and gratefully involved in your life experience and personal evolution.
