Diana Little, LMFT ~ Psychic Psychotherapy

Welcome ~

Thank you for visiting my website! I look forward to hearing from you.

~ Why I am Here ~

I am honored to help people who are motivated to transcend their emotional pain, transform their lives and heal their Souls.

I am not here for the faint of heart, or people who just want to “vent.” This work takes courage and perseverance. And I love it! Are you ready to go deep?

"Diana Little is a brilliant and gifted therapist. She has helped me through soooo much. I have a history of trauma, anxiety, and ADD, as well as codependency on people with personality disorders. Her vast expertise, compassion, and knowledge are a blessing to those she counsels. She helps me see and change my patterns, while gently infusing her great sense of humor at appropriate moments to help me perceive more clearly and mend more effortlessly.  Her counseling approach is professional, empathic, streetwise, honest, and nurturing. And! She’ll NEVER bullshit you NOR enable you to stay in denial. Instead, she will intuitively guide you through the healing process at your individual pace. After all, that’s the main reason we’re all here."

My Background

I was born in 1961 in Los Angeles, California.

Regarding my professional life, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1981 from Kean University in Union, New Jersey. I began my clinical psychology practice from 1985 to 1987 at the Kean University Counseling Center while earning my Master's Degree. With my MA complete, I worked extensively in addiction treatment, in New Jersey and then in California. In 1996, I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California.

My personal evolution has involved working through a history of depression and codependency. I come from a long line of addicts and alcoholics. Brilliant, suffering and complicated people doing the best they could, while creating a lot of collateral damage. Though I am quite familiar with suffering, I am generally happy now. I have done, and do, "the work.”

Personally and professionally, I am rooted in Buddhism and Humanistic Psychology. Well before I embarked on those studies, I was raised as a Christian. Devoutly so. With that foundation, I was a curious child. I had a lot of questions. I still do! So, at age 13, looking for answers, I began to learn how to read Tarot Cards. At 16, I began studying metaphysics and world religions. Buddhism is my chosen path. I will always embrace many of the teachings of Christianity and other religions too, all where we are taught to love one another, and are guided to connect to our one true source.

Getting Started

Today, I work with my clients in two ways:

My Psychotherapy practice involves a traditional approach toward mental health. Please note that this practice is limited to California residents as it is under the legal protection of my state license.

My Spiritual Counseling practice is more free flowing and creative. I draw upon Buddhism, many other spiritual and religious teachings, and Tarot Card reading. It is a deeply intuitive, interactive, individual process. Many clients have called my work "Psychic". While I can certainly not predict the future, there often is a level of knowing I cannot explain. "Psychic Psychotherapy" feels right to me, and I hope this term appeals to people who will be open to and benefit most from this type of work. This counseling modality is available to anyone, anywhere. Yet again, it is not for everyone! Being open to new information and experience is essential, for myself and my work.

Learning is a lifelong process. Insight happens. Change happens. Mistakes are made. Wisdom is gained, and we are never complete. We are infinite. I believe we are all connected in this life. We are here to help each other. We cannot do this alone. We will heal together.

"I have had the privilege of working with Diana for several years, and I can confidently attest that her approach to therapy is truly remarkable. Having battled depression for most of my life, I reached a breaking point after a miscarriage left me feeling utterly devastated. It felt like divine intervention when I stumbled upon Diana online during my darkest period.

Diana immediately created a safe and non-judgmental space for me, which was a lifeline during those trying times. What sets her apart is not just her professional expertise but her genuine care and compassion on a deeply human level. I always feel heard, understood, and respected, laying the groundwork for true healing. Within a remarkably short span, I found myself no longer trapped in the vortex of despair, and I attribute this transformation to her guidance and support. If it weren’t for life's constant changes Diana would have probably worked herself out of a job.

I wholeheartedly recommend Diana to anyone in search of a therapist capable of delivering a truly transformative and holistic therapeutic experience. She has been a beacon of hope in my life, and I am deeply grateful for her guidance on my journey toward healing and self-discovery."
